Kirsty Anderson currently lives and works in Scotland.
She covers a diverse range of assignments including news, features and events in her role as a staff photographer for the Herald & Times Group, working across prestigious national newspapers and magazines. Kirsty however, is most at home creating strong environmental portraits, striking fashion editorials and high concept lifestyle features.
A Glasgow School of Art Fine Art Photography Graduate, Kirsty has travelled extensively within the British Isles and on many foreign assignments with her camera throughout the years. She aims to create pictures which reflect a sensitivity, empathy and understanding of her subject matter.
Influenced by her Fine Art background, her work and approach shows an unrivalled attention to detail and sense of wit. If her images often appear effortless, this belies the rigour of the exacting eye behind the lens which is perfectly balanced by a mindful, considerate manner.
Highlights of Kirsty’s career have included winning the Getty Images Magazine Photographer Of The Year award and photographing many prominent politicians and heads of state, including the President of Liberia and former President of the United States Bill Clinton. She has been privileged to work with some of the most influential actors, musicians, models, artists and high profile personalities of our time.
